Founder of The City Repair Project, Mark Lakeman, talks about the meaning of the commons and the struggle for public spaces and free political expression in a democracy. Lakeman spoke at the weekly Friday rally and march for peace and justice at Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland, Oregon, on January 18th, 2008.
